It all started in a cold winternight in 2003.Arnjeir (a.k.a. Reven) from Fortress of Grief, wanted to start a project with only himself. It started slow, but after some months Arnjeir had made a couple of songs for his first demo "Yggdrasil".But after the tragic death of "Valfar" from "Windir", Arnjeir decided to make a tribute to Valfar.
Late 2004 Arnjeirs tribute album "Valfar, ein ekta Windir" to Valfar was finnished.Right before the release of the tribute, Arnjeir decided to only release 20 copies, and to give all the copies to the rest of the members of Windir and to Valfars family.
Right after the tribute to Valfar was released Arnjeir started composing new songs for a debut album.
Then Arnjeir got a gig early 2005 on "Hamar Metal Festival".
With help from 5 friends, Arnjeir did a 4 songs tribute concert to Valfar.
On the concert Arnjeir played 2 songs from his upcomming album.
He also recorded those 2 songs and sent them to Record labels, and got a record deal with Deadsun Records.
After the concert ARnjeir finnished composing the music for his debut album. But cause of lack of time and money he never got to go to the studio to record it.
After the summer 2005 Arnjeir quit in Fortress of Grief and decided to finnish his first demo "Yggdrasil".
"Yggdrasil" was recorded late September with 4 songs & 1 bonus song.
Fauk from Hordagaard did the vocals on "Aasgard".Trond F. Helland from Helland did the vocals on the 3 last songs.
And Arnjeir did some vocals on "Niflheim" and all the vocals on the bonus song "Selvmord".“Yggdrasil” was suposed be edited by MDR from Portugal in December 2005, but this just happened in March 2006.
Arnjeir is now trying to get money to record his debut album.

MISTRESS DANCE RECORDS presents
Hrimthurs–“War of the ages” (2 CD-R with pro-printed 12-page booklet - 111:41m)
Black Metal one man band hailing from Australia, inspired by Norse mythology and nature.
Double CD-r very professional and well produced cover layout and artwork.
First Chapter (The Immortal vehement Winter) is a pure masterpiece of old school Black Metal, fast and very well produced riffs with such technique of all instruments…

Second chapter (War of the Ages) is entirely instrumental and is characterised by an enormous amount of tempo and mood changes, ranging from enchanting keyboards that cause you to visualise little mountain streams and forests, to very raw and fast raging black metal eruptions, transitions from keyboard to guitar are rather abrupt and it sounds more like some kind of soundtrack for Viking movie. It´s something between melodic and atmospheric parts and aggressive raw black metal riffs. With ambiental parts fixes that from a moment to another transport you to other dimensions and it is also a little more experimental.

Some early comments:

“Thank you! I like it! It’s cool, rough BM with those intermezzos! It was cool to listen, good luck! Bests.”
Attila Csihar (Mayhem, Aborym, Tormentor, Keep of Kalessin, Plasma Pool, Korog…)

“I find some interesting elements in your music, there are good elements in both CDs. I like this atmosphere whichemerges from your music, good riffs for head banging! The vocals are very good and hateful. I like much themedieval/atmospheric passages… I think in fact that one mix of these atmospheric/medieval elements with yourBlack Metal music could give something of strongly interesting who makes me think of old Satyricon perhaps. For the moment I thus think that you have a true potential for really doing something of very good for your 1st album, for a first work that’s fucking good…”
Wolfnacht (Ewiger Hass Productions, Ravensblood, Ornaments of Sin of Total Holocaust Records)

“The stuff is amazing. Amazing. So diverse, the two records and so interesting. Atmospheric to say the least. What a genuinetalent and sense of the dark arts”
Linus Raudsepp (Raudsepp Records, Empire Magazine, Sweden)

“The artwork is very nice, atmospheric, and dark. The music is true old-school that you wrote!I like that sound!... a very dark journey… congratulations.”
Peter Sallai of Bornholm (Melancholia Records, France)

“First thoughts… fucken cool riffs and IDEAS!! It sure has a Darkthrone feeling to it!…you have some really cool ideas! I like the tempo! By the way – I was really surprised to see how prof. the CD looks…you should be able to get signed… you have really cool ideas and riffs.”

About us

Mistress Dance Records reborn from the ashes of Eutanásia Records (and some others) a demo label, tape trading from the 80/90s.
Between 94 and 2002 one we put out some Demos and Cd-r (Tha Hord(e)s, Lords of Armageddon, The Dark, etç…). These editions are past but still make part of our history.
In last year (05) we begin to prepare a double CD-r compilation of one man bands, that will be out in April ´06, at the same time the CD-Rs from Borgarholt (Nor) and Pagapu (Per) will be out too. Besides that we together with the Brazilian label Demoncratic Records will edit the first CD from of the next knowed (we hope/believe) Brazilian band Paradise in Flames.
Our basic idea is in first place concentrate us in record Cd-r and Demos Tapes (and in a near future, CDs too) of Black Metal bands, but we are open for Death, Doom, etc…Metal bands.

Besides the releases we will have our web magazine very active the same will happen with our distribution online shop where you can find CDs, CD-r, Demos, zines, T-Shirts, Long Sleeves, etc…

As we don’t limit ourselves we are running a A4 b&w zine like the glorious old days, and the section Art Work will be able for everyone who need Logos, CD, CD-r, Demo, Book covers and that kind of staff.

Let us tell you that our label releases are in glossy paper (like Digi pack) hand work (as we call panorama Digi pack or Vilhais Digi pack) and normal way. Together with all releases we offer an A5 zine with bio, logo, photos, interviews, b&w poster, lyrics, etc of each band release.

So we hope that all the things will run in a very good way and we invite all interested ones in work with us (in a way or another) to get in touch as soon as possible.

Thanks!!!
